Question Old Backups not Auto removed

j05h

New Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.59
I have my backup settings configured to only store a max of 5 backups.

I then have this scheduled via a cronjob:

plesk bin pleskbackup --server -compression-level fast -description 'Manual Backup' -output-file ext://s3-backup/server/

But when I log in to my s3 account, it has more than 5 backups. It is not deleting the older backups as expected.

Am I missing something?

That expected behavior. The value you can specify for the maximum number of full backups only applies to users (customers) other than administrators. As an administrator you can schedule full server backups and specify the number of full backup you want to keep in the scheduled backups settings separately. There is no limit on the number of manual backups you can store as an administrator.

EDIT: also, the value for the maximum number of full backups only applies to backups stored on the server (not remote backups).
